Container chassis RPK.15-01
Container chassis type RPK.15-01 is intended to improve field transport conditions of the container transport set KZT.15-01 - based on a modernized all-terrain truck STAR 266K (6x6).
The frame provides a solid supporting structure made of profiles, pipes and steel components with increased strength. The framework includes two crossbars with container grips, connected to each other along the axis by torque tube. The front crossbar and the rear joint of torque tube are mounted flexibly to the chassis of the vehicle STAR 266K using a flexible rubber cushions. The frame constitutes a structurally complete overlay on the existing chassis frame of the vehicle, without making significant changes to its design.
The design and layout of container frame in each case is protected by parallel set of crossbars with container grips, independent of occurring twists and bends the vehicle chassis while driving. This is called three-point frame mounting, preventing the spread of any kind of deformation, and thus the load on the structure mounted in the grips of container body of the vehicle - especially when driving off-road.
The container frame is rigidly connected to the fenders of the rear wheels of the vehicle, bolted at the height needed to achieve the dynamic deflection of the load-bearing wheels of the vehicle.
The use of container frame provides easy interchangeability of transportation of containers, container chassis and 15-foot container platform, meant to be transported on the chassis of the vehicle STAR 266K.
